Cueva del Llano Interpretation Centre

Cueva del Llano is an Interpretation Centre located in the municipality of La Oliva Empalmado within a volcanic tube of considerable dimensions which is accessible through a jameo divided into two branches. The northern branch longer and outstanding with approximately 500 meters in length, but of which only 400 meters can be visited, making it the only one with these characteristics in the Canaries.

Here takes place a project study conducted by the Senior Center for Scientific Research (CSIC) in which they discuss the introduction and disappearance of certain animal species throughout history in certain sectors across the state and its possible connection with the human bending.

With more than one million years old La Cueva del Llano is a volcanic pipe with a topographic length of 648 meters in total, with a slope of one degree and dimensions ranging from 7 to 12 meters wide and 3 to 5 meters high in areas you can visit.
