The inhabitants of Antigua possessed good land for cultivation, basically cereal, but strong winds in that area especially in the months of July and August led to build mills in order to reap these grains without having to move to other parts of the island.
The Old Mill is one of the mills restored and preserved until today, today is one of the attractions of Fuerteventura, integrates a network of museums on the island. The Old Mill has been adapted for tourism, here come tourists for details of the past of Fuerteventura and of the farm life its inhabitants had.
The Old Mill has different rooms, these are used for various exhibitions throughout the year, there is a bar and restaurant, a cactus garden and souvenir shop, highly recommended to buy handicrafts.
