MIRADOR DEL RÍO

He(She) is in the summit of Famara's crag, together with the people(village) of Yé - Haría-, to the north of Lanzarote. From the Viewing-point of the Rio there is spied the set of islands called Archipelago (small) Chinijo.

The construction of the Viewing-point of the Rio I turn out to be a complex task, since there was excavated the rock of Famara's summit in order to his(her,your) visual impact changed color in the wall of the Crag.

There stands out the front, of semicircular form, constructed entirely in stone. For a small entry it(he,she) passes to his(her,your) interior, where no element distracts(embezzles) the spectator. This one circulates along a brief undulating corridor until, suddenly, a few wide large windows discover the panoramic one that is spied from the top of the cliff, provoking surprise and amazement.

From the Viewing-point nailed to almost 500 meters of altitude, it(he,she) appreciates the base of the Crag, in which they are a few interesting and former saline, separated by a narrow arm of sea named The Rio, of which his(her,your) name takes the Viewing-point.

Good is possible to accede on the outside, justly well under the cristaleras, to the high part.

The access to the enclosure of the Viewing-point this one indicated by a sculpture turned into the emblem of the center. It(he,she) symbolizes a fish and a bird, a synthesis of the basic values that encloses the Archipelago Chinijo.

The Viewing-point of the Rio dates back of 1973.
