Monument of Countryman Lanzarote.

The Monument of Countryman are situated in the centre of the island, in the village of Mozaga . The monument was built to the purpose of remembrance and honour for the effort the islanders incured in order to work the droughty land with intelligence und finally to succeed a recompense from it. The 15m high monument is also called the "Monument of Fecundity" and was constructed by Cesar Manrique.

For the construction of this white work with rounded lines, Manrique used water tanks of old fishing boats. Of very impression is the imposing size of the monument that is established upon a rock.
